The Christian Life

       Easter, a time of rejoicing right?  Have we made Easter look like Easter bunnies and Easter eggs?  What do you view Easter as?  Do we forget that it is Easter and just do what we want like any other Sunday?  Do we remember that we have new life in Christ when He rose from the dead?  Do we remember that He loved us so much that He gave His son, Jesus to die for us and save us from our sins that we deserve to die from?  Some thoughts you might want to think about. 

     Why do we cover up these holidays like Christmas and Easter with a bunch of gifts?  They're really nice, and I am not against them at all.  But do we focus too much on the gifts and not the real purpose of this holiday.  You could ask a ton of people randomly in the street and ask: "What's the real purpose of Easter?"  What I've found is that people will just say "Oh, Jesus rose from the dead"  They treat it like whatever.  What I think it means is that because of His death our sins are taken away and we are washed clean as snow.  He took every sin on himself saving us from Hell and death.  But now we have a choice between Heaven and Hell.  And by rising again, we have hope and new life in Christ.  Not like many other prophets that people believe in that they just die and that's the end of the story.  But Jesus is the only one who conquered death and sin.  I hope that today that you'll read the Salvation page on this site and come to know Christ as your own as your Lord and Savior.  Think about the questions above, and think about what Easter really means to you.  Here's a nice song to leave you with: Love Song by Third Day.
