The Beatitudes (Part 1)

Posted by Christian Life Ministries on January 6, 2010 at 7:02 AM

I was reading lately the Beatitudes and was remembering how good of a passage it is.  I wanted to share it with you:

Today will be Matthew 5:1-5.  This is NIV.

"Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside.  His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them, saying:

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth."

The poor in spirit are the ones who are grateful for anything and are glad to get anything.  Jesus is saying they will get to Heaven by doing that.

But what's most important is accepting Jesus into your life.  Read about it on the Salvation page.

Tommorow will be Part 2 which is Verses 6-10.

If you want to read it before I do and post something about it, hey, your always welcome to posting anything that bothers you or you really, really want to share.  Whether it's about Scripture, the site, or any other thing you want to talk about.  I am also sorry that the time on the right side is moved over, I plan to reamove it saving a little time.  I have also noticed that if your in California it's EST.  So I will get that removed.  Thanks for reading this post and come back tommorow for part 2!
