Validity of the Bible (Part 1)

Hello, and sorry for not a recent post about this topic. This series is going to be much smaller. Maybe 3-4 parts.

The Bible has been one book that started being written over 4,000 years ago. Over 40 authors in 1,500 years, God's plan and His story of history shows us how God wants us to live and who we should follow. This story has then been passed from generation to generation. It is the best selling book of all time. Here's some debates that have risen while talking about this subject. I'll do one each part.

Non-Christians: The Bible was written by men, so it can not be perfect because man is not perfect. Therefore the entire book could be made up.

What I would say: I asked everybody to think about that question on the intro: Is the Bible written by a man or by God?

The answer is both. In II Timothy 3:16 NIV, it says:

"All Scripture is God-breathed (meaning God-inspired) and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be throughly equipped for every good work."

Now, it's never good to use only Scripture to back up the validity of the Bible. More evidence has been found that the Bible is a real history book. Jesus would predict that after He's gone that the Jews would rebel against the Romans in Israel. Of course in about 70 A.D. the Jews rebel but their temple and many other Godly monuments get destroyed. Jesus predicts that 11 of the 12 disciples would get executed for their faith in Christ. And it sure happened. Every disciple but John was killed. John was exiled on an island, while there he wrote Revelation.

That's the major debate about this topic. You have to nail down the basics of the Bible that's how you really get to understand it. Part 2 will nail down that the Bible was not a story just all made up. Here's the next question to think about: Why would the Jews be so upset at the Disciples that they wanted to kill all of them? What was it about them that made them so mad?

This is a song I heard at the ALIVE concert I told you about. It's called "We are Loved" by David Crowder Band.

If you have any questions or comments be sure to say something below. If you have other questions about this topic that you want answered, just speak up, if you don't feel like saying it here, and just want to say it to me, go to the Members page. Find my profile, and just click send a message. Make sure you don't spam. If you have a prayer request that you need God's help on, just go to the Prayer Requests page. Remember, He knows all our needs. Just go to that page and submit one, the request will be on for everybody to pray for you shortly.

Have a God-blessed day!

-C.L.M. John 14:6

I just came back from an awesome music festival called ALIVE 2010. It's an annual festival where gobs of artists come and play along with speakers and seminars. Some of the artists included Skillet, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, tobyMac, David Crowder Band, and many, many more. For anybody that wants to go next year go to javascript:mox(); and it has everything about it. Next year's ALIVE is in Mineral City, OH. It goes from June 22-25, and has events and artists almost all day. I think it's great to go, it's got hotels nearby or you can camp out at the campgrounds near the concerts. Comedians such as Tim Hawkins and great speakers like David Nasser and Todd Blackledge were there this year. They've been doing this for 23 years. It's a must for teens or anyone that loves music. Be sure to go next year.

Hey everybody! It's been a while, but things are clearing up so the next series will start. This one is on the validity of the Bible. Many non-Christians don't believe in Christ because they can't believe the Bible to begin with. If talking about it or writing it they will never make it the authority book. This should be more exciting and more to think about than the last series on the Sermon on the Mount. If you have anything to share be sure to comment below and give feedback so I can explain it better.

So I leave you this question: Was the Bible written by a man or by God?

Easter, a time of rejoicing right? Have we made Easter look like Easter bunnies and Easter eggs? What do you view Easter as? Do we forget that it is Easter and just do what we want like any other Sunday? Do we remember that we have new life in Christ when He rose from the dead? Do we remember that He loved us so much that He gave His son, Jesus to die for us and save us from our sins that we deserve to die from? Some thoughts you might want to think about.

Why do we cover up these holidays like Christmas and Easter with a bunch of gifts? They're really nice, and I am not against them at all. But do we focus too much on the gifts and not the real purpose of this holiday. You could ask a ton of people randomly in the street and ask: "What's the real purpose of Easter?" What I've found is that people will just say "Oh, Jesus rose from the dead" They treat it like whatever. What I think it means is that because of His death our sins are taken away and we are washed clean as snow. He took every sin on himself saving us from Hell and death. But now we have a choice between Heaven and Hell. And by rising again, we have hope and new life in Christ. Not like many other prophets that people believe in that they just die and that's the end of the story. But Jesus is the only one who conquered death and sin. I hope that today that you'll read the Salvation page on this site and come to know Christ as your own as your Lord and Savior. Think about the questions above, and think about what Easter really means to you. Here's a nice song to leave you with: Love Song by Third Day.

Christian Life Ministries John 14:6
